The 2023-2024 academic year begins with the fact that the school population is 11 imam hatip schools, the secondary school population is 3 thousand, and the primary school population is 5 thousand. While there were 2 students per teacher in the imam-hatip school in Izmir, 28 out of 32 clrooms in IHL with 80 students in Ankara remained empty!

National Minister of Education Yusuf Tekin said, “We open as many democratic demands as there is,” and explained the increase in the number of imam hatip schools in the last 10 years as “social demand.” In order to direct students to Imam Hatip schools, he did not mention the obligation to choose Imam Hatip students in address-based student records.
THEY CHOOSE ANATOLIA
Student registration for the 2023-2024 academic year is over. The quotas of imam-hatip high schools that accept students based on LGS results have been filled. Anatolian imam hatip high schools and imam hatip secondary schools, which accept students without exams and scores, are not full. Students were enrolled in Anatolian high schools and clical secondary schools in many provinces, especially Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir.
7 OUT OF 8 CLES ARE CLOSED
The imam hatip school with the lowest number of students was Izmir Hacı Şakir Eczacıbaşı İmam Hatip Secondary School. The student population of the 8-clroom school remained at only 11. In the school, which has approximately 1 clroom per student, 7 out of 8 clrooms could not be opened because there were no students.
1 TEACHER FOR 2 STUDENTS
In the school where 6 teachers work, including the school principal, there are 2 students per teacher. İzmir Aliağa Şehit Bahattin Elden Anadolu İHL has 105 students, although it has 20 clrooms. The number of students per clroom was 10.5.

VIOLATIONS NEIGHBORING MEB ARE EMPTY
MEB is located in Çankaya district of the capital Ankara. The occupancy rate of Anatolian high schools and IHLs in Çankaya attracted attention. While there are only 80 students in Çankaya Nurten Uşan Anadolu IHL with 32 clrooms, Anatolian high schools in the same district are full. There are 552 students in Çankaya Süheyl Ünver Anatolian High School with 24 clrooms and 755 students in Çankaya Mutlukent Anatolian High School with 24 clrooms.
28 OUT OF 32 CLROOMS ARE CLOSED
Although Nurten Uşan Anadolu IHL had 32 clrooms, it had only 44 students. This year, when 36 new students were enrolled, the school population increased to 80. Even though the cl size was 20 people, 28 out of 32 clrooms remained empty. There were 2.5 students per clroom.
ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL WITH 2645 STUDENTS
Imam Hatip secondary schools and IHLs closed the upper floors to student page and use due to lack of students. On the other hand, 2645 students at Bahattin Yıldız Anatolian High School in Sultangazi, Istanbul, are trying to get education in a school with 41 clrooms.

■ Nurten Uşan Anadolu IHL: There are 80 students, 14 teachers, 32 clrooms.
■ Çankaya Faik Güngör Anadolu IHL: 89 students, 22 teachers, 24 clrooms.
■ Şehit Feyza Acısu Imam Hatip Secondary School: 79 students, 17 teachers, 18 clrooms.
■ Hasan Celal Güzel Anadolu IHL: 136 students study in 16 clrooms.
EMPTY VIOLATIONS IN IZMIR
■ Çeşme Imam Hatip Secondary School: 52 students, 9 teachers, 5 clrooms.
■ Aliağa Martyr Bahattin Elden Anadolu IHL: 105 students, 19 teachers, 20 clrooms.
■ Aliağa Martyr Ahmet Özsoy İHO: 142 students, 19 teachers, 12 clrooms.
■ Konak Barsoras Hayrettin İHO: 182 students, 15 teachers, 11 clrooms
EMPTY VIOLATIONS IN ISTANBUL
■ Göztepe IHL Secondary School: 75 students, 11 clrooms and 12 teachers.
■ Kadıköy IHL Secondary School: 173 students, 13 clrooms and 23 teachers.
■ Şile Imam Hatip High School: 188 students, 28 clrooms and 30 teachers.
