Leading the general clification after two stages, Basile Bourgnon (Edenred) came to just over 10 minutes from victory.
For his 2nd participation, the youngest of the fleet finally finished 10th in the 3rd stage and2nd in this Solitaire du Figaro Paprec behind Corentin Horeau. “ I came to try to make a Top 5. I do better than that. I led the fleet several times and won a stage, which frankly wasn’t the easiest. This is the reward for all the work of this winter, of this season. It’s so good, I’m so happy. I’m not very expressive, but seeing everyone from everywhere is so nice. On this stage, I left without stress. I told myself that I wasn’t going to do my race based on the others, because I wouldn’t have had any fun. And I went my own way a bit. Afterwards, it was a battle of strategy. Corentin was better at this game. But I’m also happy for him. He has been working for seven years to win a Solitaire du Figaro. And for me, it’s only my second year, it’s much better than I could have hoped for », welcomed Basile Bourgnon, son of Laurent, winner in 1988 during his first participation.
