The President of the Republic then met at the end of the afternoon with five hundred civil servants involved in the organization of the Games. During a speech at the Prefecture of Paris, he said: We are going to receive the world. Our challenges: being on time and with excellence in terms of organization, meeting sustainability, security, heritage, inclusiveness. We won’t be perfect, given our urban transport network, but we have to continue. »
And to assure: It’s a great sporting event but also a human mobilization that the world will watch. We must continue to involve the population. The heritage must help us there. Making the Seine and the Marne swimmable is a legacy of these Games. We have to be innovative so that everyone feels associated with these Olympic and Paralympic Games. “Emmanuel Macron then assured:” I’m ringing the general mobilization, don’t release anything. You have to put in the maximum amount of energy, give it your all. »
