6 suspects who stole earthquake aid were caught – Sözcü


Six suspects, who were found to have stolen food products that should be delivered to AFAD to be used for earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş, were caught in Mersin.

HB, who applied to the Fraud Office of the Mersin Police Department, Public Security Branch Directorate, said that 15 tons of sunflower oil, 5 tons of rice and 15 tons of sunflower oil, which had a market value of approximately 1 million TL, to be loaded on a truck and delivered to AFAD to be used for earthquake victims in Afşin district of Kahramanmaraş. He complained that 5 tons of lentils did not go to the address sent.

Acting on this, the teams examined the camera images on the route of the TIR whose license plate was detected. The teams found that the materials were transferred to 4 different warehouses in Mardin and Batman.

GI, D.O., FE. O.I. B.C. and SD was captured. The materials in the warehouses were delivered to HB.

O.İ., B.Ç. and SD were arrested by the court on duty from which they were removed. FE was released on probation. GI and D.O. He was released by the prosecution. (DHA)
