a candidate for Miss France 2023 reveals her very symbolic tattoo

WE WERE THERE – Thursday afternoon, the 30 candidates for Miss France 2023 gathered for the long-awaited official group photo, immortalized on the beach of Sainte-Anne in Guadeloupe. Agathe Cauet, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, spoke to us for the first time about her previously hidden tattoo.

“Miss Guyana is very pretty”, “They are all beautiful”… On the beach of Sainte-Anne in Guadeloupe on Thursday afternoon, the customers of Club Med La Caravelle are agitated, attracted by an important photo session. That of the official image of the thirty candidates for Miss France 2023 immortalized each year during the preparation trip and then broadcast in the press. “Those over 1m75, come with me”launches Benjamin Decoin, the photographer who chose the beach pontoon as a backdrop after the swimming pool of a hotel in Reunion last year. The tallest fifteen of the promotion are standing, while the smallest sit on the wooden overhang.

“Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Corsica, reverse each other, otherwise there are two blondes side by side”asks the photographer who has to juggle between several constraints. “You have to avoid having blondes on one side and brunettes on the other.he adds. The idea is to create a nice harmonious line between the girls, that the regions are well mixed too. What is important to us is that they are all tied and that the scarves are clearly visible. That they are pretty in short “, he summarizes before starting his session with blows of “1, 2, 3, smile”. Sylvie Tellier, honorary president of this edition, oversees from afar. Dressed in a flashy orange one-piece swimsuit and a visor of the same color, she does not go unnoticed. “Looks like Pamela Anderson”note the curious.

“I was orange in the official photo last year”

Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022

Like the class photos, this image is the one that the parents of the regional misses keep preciously. Like those of Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, present on the shoot. “It’s the iconic photo. My mother has it in an album that includes all the souvenir photos. I remember, I was orange on it, I had really taken the sun »she remembers before yelling advice to her proteges: “Take the slice pose! »referring to the advice provided by Arnaud Sol Dourdin, the hairdresser and make-up artist of the reigning Miss France. “It’s about putting the leg forward and the hip turned back to lengthen the leg”tells us the co-host of the Virgin Radio morning show.

Impossible for the photographer and the candidates to miss this photo which required three hours of preparation upstream with the stylists and the hairdressers. A Miss apprehends this meeting a little more than the others: Agathe Cauet. For the first time, the representative of Nord-Pas-de-Calais unveiled her tattoo located on the right groin and representing an arch of flowers. “I had a tumor at the age of 17, a borderline of 9 kilos. Today I have one less ovary. This tattoo represents him”, tells us the 23-year-old nurse. The trace of this old operation remains perceptible on her belly via a vertical scar at the level of the navel. “At first, I had a hard time accepting it. But participating in Miss France helps me feel better. All bodies are beautiful despite their past history”underlines the Lille.

They will therefore be two tattooed candidates this year for the Miss France 2023 election. Until now, only the tattoo on the left wrist (a significant date in his life) of Cameron Vallière, Miss Languedoc, was known. A feature made possible this year thanks to the relaxation of the regulations by Alexia Laroche-Joubertthe president of the Miss France society.
