500,000 euros of damage

After the fatal attack on independence activist Yvan Colonna, on March 2, 2022 in Arles prison (Bouches-du-Rhône), where he was serving a life sentence for his participation in the ination of prefect Erignac, in 1998 in Ajaccio, numerous demonstrations had been organized in Corsica. And these degenerated almost systematically under the leadership of a handful of demonstrators.

On March 9, the thugs gathered in the early evening in front of the Ajaccio prefecture finally dispersed. But a few minutes later, demonstrators entered the courthouse and lit fires in front of and inside the building. Repairs for the damage caused that evening, some of which are still ongoing, have been estimated at more than 500,000 euros by the courts.
