A national outage prevents the delivery of pports and identity cards to town halls

The disruptions affect all of France. Since Monday, French town halls have been facing a computer bug which “affects the conditions for collecting applications for identity cards and pports, as well as their delivery”, explains the Ministry of the Interior to Le Parisien.

Many users have thus traveled for nothing, to town halls where making an appointment is not necessary, relates France 3 New Aquitaine just like several users on X. Other town halls have warned their users well.

A breakdown which follows “a version change that occurred on Sunday” and which causes “random disconnections from the system” among mayors. Beauvau ures that it is working to resolve the problem, and promises a return to normal by Wednesday morning at the latest.

In the meantime, town halls and prefectures have the possibility “to use an exceptional handover procedure reserved for emergency situations”. Submission of requests remains possible with the mayor, as well as preparation of the meeting via a pre-request on the portal. ants.gouv.fr.
