“Like our season, it was difficult to get the title here. We were mistreated by a good Parisian team, I think we could also have taken a little more shelter but we waited for the last moments of the match. It was painful and it also reflects our season: the state of mind of my group made the difference. It is the culmination of an entire season of work, it is the reward for the efforts of the players. We necessarily have a thought for Jean-Michel Aulas, the president. We had it on the phone and we are delighted that this title brings him a little more happiness. We knew we would make him happy and that was an additional motivation. We win three out of four titles with the Champions Trophy and the Coupe de France. Obviously we were keen to win the Champions League, but three out of four we must be happy about it and continue to have this humility, this questioning which will allow us to continue to progress.
(On Signe Bruun, goalscorer) We talked a lot with Signe, because it’s difficult for her to have so little playing time. I’m really happy for her because in terms of her state of mind she was excellent from beginning to end. It’s a reward, I’m happy for her even if I think our adventure should end there.»
