Accused of violence by his ex-partner, rapper Kaaris was released

As he leaves the audience, Kaaris displays a broad smile. This Friday morning, after more than 1h30 of debate, the Évry-Courcouronnes criminal court acquitted the 43-year-old rapper of the acts of violence against his partner in which he was accused by his ex-partner. The latter Linda P., 41 years old, did not appear at the hearing. She was found guilty of home invasion and damage and sentenced to two months in prison.

Linda P. had filed a complaint against Kaaris, with whom she lived between 2007 and 2020, in July 2022 for facts dating back to January 21, 2021. Her ex had entered the rapper’s property in Linas (Essonne) after jumping over a two-meter high wall . She then broke the mirrors of the rapper’s new partner’s car, before attacking him. An altercation had broken out between the two, with Linda P. recording it on her phone.

Stormy separation

She then accused the latter of hitting her and sweeping her. A medical certificate attested to a contusion to the lip, a sprained ankle and several torn nails, Linda P. wearing nail prostheses several centimeters long. A version contested by the rapper, who claims to have never raised his hand against a woman and explaining these accusations by a desire for revenge following their breakup.

The evidence in the file did not support Linda P’s version. Several witnesses stated that she must have broken her nails when she fell from the wall she climbed over, and hurt her foot. hitting the car’s rearview mirror. The prosecutor requested the acquittal, insisting on the fact that the medical certificate “did not establish a link between the injuries and the alleged violence”. “The fall from 2 m high is not incompatible with the injuries noted,” he stressed. He also deplored the role of social networks, widely used by the complainant in this case in order to discredit Kaaris.
