Aleix Espargaro dominates free practice 1 of the Aragon GP

The Aragon-Japan-Thailand triplet began Friday morning with the first free practice on the Spanish circuit. Starring Marc Marquez, of course. Back after more than three months of absence to recover from yet another operation on his right arm, the Spaniard above all wanted to reassure himself on the handlebars of his Honda. He set the 11th time of the session, five tenths from the fastest, his compatriot Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia, 1'48 "686). But he is still much faster than his teammate, Pol Espargaro, 19th at eight tenths .

Aleix Espargaro, who also fell heavily and injured his knee, was only 12 thousandths ahead of Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) and 89 thousandths of Alex Rins (Suzuki). On the French side, Johann Zarco (Ducati) is the best placed with the 5th fastest time (+0 "196). Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) is a little further, 8th at 39 hundredths.
