Mitsotakis stated that the state will provide financial support to flood victims and noted that a series of measures will be taken to protect public health.

Reminding the concerns that animals that perished due to floods in the region could cause serious harm to public health, Mitsotakis stated that the animals that perished would be burned or buried, taking into account health conditions.


Mitsotakis stated that there were also cases of West Nile Virus in the disaster area and that the Ministry of Health would also carry out studies on combating insects and pests.

Stating that approximately one week is needed to compensate for the difficulties in supplying city water to the region, Mitsotakis warned the people of the region to drink only bottled drinking water.
