Alldritt and Dupont in the typical team of the year, with four Irish

Only two French present in the XV type of the year selected by World Rugby.

The French outnumbered in the standard team of the year of World Rugby. Yet Grand Slam winners, and remaining on thirteen successes in a row, thanks to a last victory 35-17 against Japanthe Blues have only two representatives: the usual captain Antoine Dupont and Grégory Alldritt.

The French scrum-half is also nominated to be the best player of the year. The player of the Stade Toulousain big favorite to his own succession. The Irish Jonathan Sexton, Josh Van der Flier and the South African Lukhanyo Am, in the running against Dupont to be the player of the year, are also present in the standard team.
