American Shawn Raboutou makes one of the toughest boulders in the world

A climbing route or block is rated between 3 and 9 depending on the difficulty, then the letters a, b or c and even a “+” are added to it to graduate the complexity. The 9c is the highest level of difficulty ever achieved on a cliff, in 2017 by Adam Ondra with “Silence” in Flatanger, then in 2022 by Sébastien Bouin with “DNA” in the Verdon. At each ascent, it is the first climber who offers a rating (the level of difficulty), which can then be reviewed by the following climbers.
