Andrea Cecca died in an accident in Tivoli together with his uncle Giorgio Bellachioma

He died in a car accident, while celebrating recovery from another accident, which occurred four years earlier. It is the absurd fate that happened to Andrea Cecca, 28 years old from Tivoli, who died on Saturday evening in Teramo. The jeep in which he was traveling – with his uncle driving – ended up off the road and plunged into an escarpment after a 50-metre flight. Uncle and nephew died instantly, while the companions were slightly injured. The four were returning from the ski resort of Prati di Tivo.
In 2019, reports Il Messaggero, the boy was left in a wheelchair after a car accident. Then he was able to get up and walk with a walker: Andrea wanted to show his uncle how he could do without a wheelchair.
They had decided to celebrate with a trip to the slopes of the Gran Sasso: a walk in the square, lunch at a restaurant. On the way back, tragedy struck: the jeep went off the road along provincial road 43 at a hairpin bend, she broke through the guardrail and fell into a cliff. Andrea, in the front passenger seat, and his uncle, driving, died instantly. It took rescuers all night to recover the bodies: the boy’s girlfriend and his uncle’s partner were thrown out of the car by the impact. They saved themselves by clinging to the safety nets that hold back the boulders.
