Recruited this summer by Real, the 18-year-old Turkish prodigy has still not played a single minute in Madrid colors this season.
After two knee injuries which kept him away from the field for more than a hundred days, Real Madrid’s nugget, Arda Güler, who arrived for 20 million euros during the summer transfer window in the Spanish capital, could finally play his first match with the Madrid club on Saturday against Sevilla in La Liga.
According to the daily A.S.close to the news of the Merengue club, the sensations of the former Fenerbahçe player would be good, which could allow Güler to make his return to the Real Madrid squad this weekend.
The young 18-year-old attacking midfielder injured his right meniscus at the end of July, during Real Madrid’s pre-season tour in the United States, a few weeks after his arrival at the club. An injury that forced him to have surgery immediately.
An unwelcome relapse
Returning to training at the end of September, the Turk was injured again, this time in the left rectus femoris muscle. Despite doubts surrounding the physical condition of the player in four caps with Turkey (1 goal), Real coach Carlo Ancelotti was confident in his prodigy at “extraordinary talent”just like the German Toni Kroos, who recognizes “a very, very beautiful left foot”.
Arda Güler’s injuries have been added to an already full list in the Real Madrid infirmary. Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is still recovering after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in August. Brazilian central defender Eder Militao also underwent surgery after also rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.
