Banque Populaire won the 16th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre. Jérémie Lecaudey.

At the helm of the maxi-trimaran Banque Populaire, the duo won the transatlantic by crossing the finish line in Martinique on Sunday evening.

Armel Le Cléac’h and Sébastien Josse won the Transat Jacques Vabre in the Ultim category this Sunday by crossing the finish line at 6:19 p.m. and 50 seconds local time (i.e. 23 hours, 19 minutes and 50 seconds in mainland France) . At the helm of the giant Banque Populaire trimaran, they took 14 days, 10 hours, 14 minutes and 50 seconds to connect Le Havre to Fort-de-France with an average speed of 26.75 knots (and a journey of 9,263 miles) . SVR Lazartigue (François Gabart and Tom Laperche) are expected overnight to take second place.
