The Tuesday of rainy weather and chaotic traffic in Porto Alegre did not affect the opening for guests of the EliteDesign Exhibition, which reaches its 6th edition, at the Clube de Regatas Guaíba Porto Alegre (GPA). The 33 environments, planned by young and experienced professionals in decoration, architecture, landscaping and design, are distinguished by their large spaces, modern proposals, creative details and options for simplicity and experimentation. As businesswoman Flávia Sffair revealed for the column, the exhibition has a lot of her own way of being, in total connection with Cezar and Jaqueline Araújo, the current curators. The exhibition, overlooking Guaíba, will remain open to the public, from Thursday to Sunday, until November 12th.

The experience of Maria Isabel Chaves Cirne Lima, or simply Bé Cirne Lima, raised in the festive environment of two of the most traditional families in Rio Grande do Sul, resulted in the book Life taught me to throw parties. The edition, autographed by the author and her collaborator, Laura Rangel, portrays the story of a woman who, accustomed to social life, started a business in the sector in which she felt closest, helping to create, alongside Martha Fortuna and Cristina Dornelles, the specialty of ceremonialist, back in the 1990s. At its launch, at the Fazenda Barbanegra – Parrilla restaurant, on a rainy Tuesday this week, Bé received many friends and admirers for autographs and gifts and there was a real party around him. Deservedly.

A good part of the history of journalism in Rio Grande do Sul was represented at the closing ceremony of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Union of Professional Journalists of Rio Grande do Sul (Sindjors), this week, at Multipalco Eva Sopher. Antônio Oliveira, Carlos Bastos, João Carlos Belmonte, Lauro Quadros, Paulo Gasparotto, Tânia Carvalho, Vera Daisy and Vera Spolidoro were highlighted with medals celebrating the entity’s 80th anniversary, received from Laura Santos Rocha, president of the ociation, and Pedro Dreher, vice -president. Journalists Flávio Porcello and João Borges de Souza received the posthumous distinction.
Multimedia artist Jaqueline Pegoraro, on the left in the photo with Luana Fleck, marked a change of age this week, gathering her many friends on board the catamaran Viva Guaíba for the celebrations.
