It’s an operation unlike any other, which is starting to make a big splash in the hushed insurance world. The insurer Allianz France would have entered into exclusive negotiations with the representatives of the very sulphurous Jacques Bouthier, the founder and main shareholder of u 2000, with a view to buying his brokerage firm, renamed last year “Vilavi”, explains to the Figaro a source familiar with the matter, confirming information from the Expansion Letter. The group presents itself as the “first expert broker in insurance and credit dedicated to individuals in France”, with 163 million euros in turnover and nearly 550,000 customers. When asked, Allianz declined to comment.
