It’s called having a perfect day. Author of the best card of the day and even of his career (63, 10 birdies, 1 double bogey). Austin Eckroat climbed to the top of the standings this Saturday at McKinney. At -16 total, the American shares first place with Ryan Palmer and Zecheng Dou. The latter also performed well on the TPC Craig Ranch course, finishing his third round in 64 shots thanks to 7 birdies and no errors.
Retrograde Scheffler
Leader at the end of the second day, Scottie Scheffler is now 4th at -14. The winner of the Players Championship 2023 was less lively this Saturday and had to settle for a score in par. The fault of three bogeys conceded from the start (at 3 and 4) and on his last hole of the day. Alongside him are Vincent Norrman, Jason Day and Si Woo Kim. The top 10 is completed by a quartet in 8th place (-13). This group consists of Patton Kizzire, Tyrrell Hatton, Sung Kang and Richy Werenski.
A rather discreet double title holder
After taking the lead at the end of the first lap, S. Y. Noh continued to fall in the standings. After his score of 74 on Friday, the South Korean again returned a card above par (73, 2 birdies, 4 bogeys) and ranks 63rd (-6 total). At -7 total (58th), his compatriot and double defending champion Kyoung-Hoon Lee fails to keep pace with the leaders. After completing the course in 70 then 68 shots, the 31-year-old remains behind with a new record of 68 (1 eagle, 3 birdies, 2 bogeys).
