Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Thursday boarded the indigenous INS Vikrant and received a guard of honor by the Indian Navy in Mumbai. Albanese is on a three-day visit to India and has so far joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi to watch the opening day of the fourth Test match between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Gujarat. The beginning of an important journey for Australia-India relations. He also participated in some programs including Holi celebrations. He announced the finalization of the Australia-India Education Accreditation Mechanism. He said this new mechanism means that if you are an Indian student studying or have studied in Australia, your hard earned degree will be recognized when you return home.
Both PM Modi and Albanese took a round of the stadium in a chariot drawn on a golf cart, with several banners placed around the venue on the theme of ’75 years of friendship through cricket’. He traveled to Mumbai on Thursday and attended the India-Australia CEO Forum meeting. He is expected to hold a bilateral meeting to strengthen ties between India and Australia.
