Why is China protesting

The exploitation of this mineral rich area will only benefit the elite cl that dominates the politics of Pakistan. Baloch rebels are also at risk of weakening their movement due to outside interference, so they are also targeting Chinese engineers working on the project. China is troubled by the delay in the project and the rising cost due to frequent attacks.
