After a sluggish draw against Morocco (1-1), Croatia rebounded by winning against Canada (4-1), officially eliminated from the World Cup.
Despite Alphonso Davies’ early opener for Canada’s first World Cup goal, Croatia turned the tables by scoring four goals, including a brace from their star striker, Andrej Kramacic (4-1).
However, the match started perfectly for Canada with the goal of Munich defender Alphonso Davies in the first minute of play. But the Croats were more incisive and equalized through Andrej Kramacic (36th). A few minutes later, Livaja will register a new goal which will allow the Croats to take the lead just before the break. Kramaric will confirm the victory of his people with a double in the second half (70th) before Majer worsens the score at the end of the match (94th).
In this group F, Croatia (1st, 4 pts), Morocco (2nd, 4 pts) and Belgium (3rd, 3 pts) will play their qualification next Thursday (4:00 p.m.) during the last day which will offer the Croatia- Belgium and Canada-Morocco.
