The journalists of France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes had to leave their premises in full live coverage of the funeral of the former mayor of Lyon Gérard Collomb, because of a bomb threat, explained to Agence France-Presse on editor-in-chief of the channel.
The alert arrived by email around 10:45 a.m., detailed Xavier Rolland. “We explained the situation to viewers and left the speeches on the air”without comment, he said.
After twenty minutes, a few volunteers returned to the control room, but the midday television news could not be broadcast. The police are on the scene to remove any doubts.
Several other branches of the channel have been targeted in recent days by bomb threats by the same email, notably in Lille, Rennes, Nantes, Nancy and Limoges.
