Chinese Lenovo becomes the leading PC seller in France


At 7.2 million units delivered, according to analyst IDC, and a market share of 26.5% in volume, Lenovo is keeping the American HP at bay.

EXCLUSIVE – Despite a difficult year 2023 with sales down 14% in the country, the Chinese group sells one in four PCs in the country and is ahead of its American competitor HP. The manufacturer is banking on AI to bounce back.

France remains in the bag from Chinese Lenovo. The world’s leading PC seller for six years on a global scale, the Chinese group had long come up against the great resistance offered by the American HP on the French market. During 2022, Lenovo began to move a head ahead of HP. This advance was confirmed over the whole of 2023, according to figures revealed by Lenovo at Figaro. We hold 26.5 % market share by volume.
