Coppa Italia – Inter beat Fiorentina in the final to retain the trophy


Inter Milan won the Coppa Italia by beating Fiorentina 2-1 in the final in Rome. The club from Lombardy defended the trophy, which it won for the ninth time in history.

Both teams put on a great show. Fiorentina took the lead in the 3rd minute after the shot of the Argentinian Nicolas Gonzalez. The hero of the match, however, was his compatriot who plays for Inter – Lautaro Martinez, who determined the result of the match before the break. First, in the 29th minute, he took advantage of a one-on-one situation with the Fiorentina goalkeeper after a great p from Marcelo Brozovic, and eight minutes later he showed off a spectacular volley after a cross by Nicolo Barelli. Martinez scored his 100th and 101st goals for Inter on Wednesday.
