Corentin Moutet changes coach – L’Équipe

This is the end, at least for now, of a fruitful collaboration. Laurent Raymond is no longer Corentin Moutet’s coach. The 23-year-old French player confirmed this on his social networks this Wednesday in a thank you message.

“Thank you for your trust, thank you for accepting me as I was, thank you for always being there, in good times and in bad, thank you for having made so many sacrifices to be with me for so many weeks, thank you for these hours of work, thank you for respecting me, thank you for your kindness, thank you for listening so much, thank you for having crossed my path, thank you for having forgiven my mistakes, thank you for all these victories, thank you for your daily stability, thank you for your calm, thank you for everything. Without you, I certainly wouldn’t be here today. Good luck for the future. You have all my respect. Thank you Lawrence »he wrote.

Petar Popovic is his new coach

Ousted a few weeks ago from the structures of the French Tennis Federation (FFT) because of a behavior considered too often borderline, Moutet, who trained at the CNE with Raymond, no longer has any help for some of the fees he paid to his coach. He could have continued with the federal coach if the two men had agreed to continue the adventure in private. This will not be the case.

Instead, the 51st in the world is about to start a collaboration with Petar Popovic. The Serbian coach, who notably took care of Andrea Petkovic, Ivo Karlovic and Filip Krajinovic, confirmed the information published by the Serbian press.
