It is “A woman of honor”, the actress Corinne Touzet, who will preside over the third edition of the “Houlgate Festival & Baie de Scène”, scheduled from September 6 to 10, in the Calvados seaside resort. An appointment that we owe to the initiative of another actress and humorist, Virginie Lemoine, and the theater director Jean-Michel Mingon.
The festival will begin with a huge luminous parade through the streets of the city, on the theme of the abyss. Various shows, often acclaimed by critics, are then on the program. Let us mention in particular “Triwap”, a formation of three brilliant jacks-of-all-trades who mix songs and sketches in an absolutely caustic show. We are also expecting a lot from “Chanson plus Bifluorée”, another group of happy fellows specializing in parody, who present here the best-of from more than 2000 concerts!
Final of the National Comedy Contest
Finally, there is the now long-awaited final of the national humorist competition, which makes it possible to identify young emerging talents. On the last day of the festival, eight artists previously selected by the jury will compete for the Public Prize. “The festival, programmed as a collective celebration at the end of the holidays, is part of a local approach involving the Houlgate population, traders and all the inhabitants”, promise the organizers.
