Cristiano Ronaldo chambered and furious after Al-Nassr defeat

Furious, Cristiano Ronaldo came out of the tunnel throwing water bottles in his path after the defeat (0-1) of his team Al-Nassr at Al-Ittihad, in the shock of the Saudi Pro League, Thursday. This defeat marks the second game in a row in which CR7 (38), aligned at the forefront of the attack, did not find the net.

The Al-Ittihad goalkeeper fended off a hard shot from the Portuguese star in injury time. It was the Brazilian Romarinho who scored the only goal of the match, in the 80th. With this defeat, Al-Nassr gives up first place in the provisional standings to his rival on Thursday, who now has a point ahead of the team coached by Rudi Garcia.

Messi’s name chanted

“Disappointed with the result, but we remain focused on our season and the matches to come. Thank you Al-Nassr supporters for your support, we know we can count on you”said the Portuguese on Twitter after the meeting.

Al-Ittihad fans – 57,244 spectators attended the meeting, exceptionally refereed by Spaniard Mateu Lahoz – mocked Ronaldo throughout the game, repeatedly chanting the name of his old Argentine rival PSG, Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored eight goals in seven league appearances this season, removed his captain’s armband before leaving the pitch and looked ready to throw it away, before regaining his composure. He applauded the Al-Nassr supporters before leaving the field.
