Croatia and Australia tied pending double

Australia equalized with Croatia in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup finals on Friday in Malaga, where the double will be decisive.

Borna Coric, 26th in the world, first gave Croatia the lead by beating 95th-ranked Thanasi Kokkinakis in the opener, 6-4, 6-3, but the Australians equalized through an Alex de Minaur in good shape.

The 24th player in the world, aged 23, left no chance for veteran Marin Cilic (34, 17th), beaten in two sets 6-2, 6-2.

The double scheduled for the evening will therefore be decisive for a place in the final on Sunday against Canada or Italy, who will be opposed on Saturday in the other semi-final, still in Malaga.
