Daniel Kretinsky enters into exclusive negotiations with Vivendi with a view to taking over 100% of Editis

The Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky, who has accelerated his investments in French media in recent years, has entered into exclusive negotiations with Vivendi to acquire 100% of Editis, the second French publishing group.
Mired for months in discussions with the European Commission, the group of Vincent Bolloré must, in fact, yield Editis, which brings together more than fifty houses (Robert Laffont, Plon, Julliard …), to obtain the endor*****t from Brussels in its takeover bid for Lagardère, which would give it effective control of the Hachette Livre group – the world’s third largest publisher.
The Czech tycoon has accelerated his investments in French media in recent years through his press group CMI France (SheTV 7 days, Marianne). He is also an indirect shareholder of Worldbailed out Release worth 15 million euros and owns more than 5% of the TF1 group.
