The Dutchman from Bora-Hansgrohe puts an end to the series of Jumbo-Visma, victorious in the first five stages.
Danny van Poppel finally raises his arms. Condemned to places of honor (twice 2nd, once 3rd) since the start of the Tour of Britain, the Dutch sprinter (Bora-Hansgrohe) won the 6th stage this Friday ahead of Ethan Vernon (Great Britain) who he signs his fourth podium in a row without a win this week.
Winner of a gut, van Poppel puts an end to the hegemony of the Jumbo-Visma, winner of the first five stages thanks to Olav Koij (4 times) and Wout Van Aert. The latter did not manage to pull the chestnuts out of the fire this time after a fall one kilometer from the finish which split the peloton.
In the general clification, Van Aert remains in the lead ahead of Vernon, Kooij and van Poppel who are three seconds behind before the last two days of racing scheduled for this weekend.
