despite a double from Frenchman Rémi Oudin, Lecce concedes a draw against Lazio


Lazio from Rome snatched a draw in added time against Lecce.

Lazio Rome, surprised by the misclified Lecce (2-2) and its French striker Rémi Oudin, author of a double, dropped two precious points in the battle for the Champions League, Friday during the 35th day of Serie A .

This draw threatens the place on the podium of the Romans (3rd, 65 pts), who can be overtaken on Saturday by Inter Milan (4th, 63 pts) which receives Suolo.

The Biancocelesti had however taken things in hand by opening the scoring by Ciro Immobile (34th), just ten minutes after a big scare on a penalty for Lecce shot aside by Gabriel Strefezza.

But Lecce (16th), in search of points to conquer a maintenance still far from being acquired, trapped Maurizio Sarri’s team on two counterattacks concluded by Oudin (45 + 2nd, 51st). The former striker from Reims and Bordeaux, who arrived in Puglia last summer, signs his first two goals in Serie A.

Samuel Umtiti and his teammates tried everything to preserve this unexpected victory in the capital. They thought they could do it until Sergej Milinkovic-Savic appeared to save a point for Lazio (90 + 4th) in extremis.
