These 100 specifics will mean that people in Poland will have more in their pockets, it will be cheaper in Polish stores and it will be better in every Polish home – said the head of PO, Donald Tusk, on Saturday, presenting the party’s election program “100 specifics for 100 days”. The convention was disrupted by the cry: “Thief, where are our billions!”
On Saturday, the Civic Coalition’s convention “100 specifics for 100 days” was held at the Arena Jaskółka in Tarnów (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), during which PO politicians, coalition partners of this party in KO, local government officials, and former military officers presented the most important issues that the new government would address. chaired by the head of PO Donald Tusk.
“These 100 specifics will mean that people in Poland will have more in their pockets, it will be cheaper in Polish stores and it will be better in every Polish home. (…) We are talking about the tax-free amount increased to PLN 60,000. zloty. This specific step, which we will carry out within the first 100 days, means that in Poland every pensioner, every retiree who has a pension of up to PLN 5,000. PLN will no longer pay income tax, and those who have higher pensions will pay this tax, but on a much smaller scale, clearly lower,” Tusk announced.
In his opinion, there will be money for “specific things” because “Prime Minister Morawiecki’s office costs twelve times more than the office when I was prime minister. Their incompetence and stupidity cost us hundreds of billions of zlotys, including debt and high prices. Their waste amounts to tens of billions of zlotys,” said the KO leader. He added that “for the first time in history, theft by the government has become a macroeconomic category. They steal billions of dollars. In the first 100 days, we will show what the mechanism was for robbing Poles in such a brazen way that sometimes words fail,” he announced.
Then, according to the media, one of the men in the room stood up and started shouting “thief, where are our billions.” He was supposedly talking about billions of zlotys from OFE, taken by Donald Tusk’s government, of which PLN 154 billion. 20 billion. zloty. was supposed to “evaporate”.
As he emphasized, “every working person who earns up to PLN 6,000. PLN, he will no longer pay income tax. And those who earn more than 6,000 PLN will pay significantly lower income tax than today,” declared the PO leader.
Tusk also announced that his government, within the first 100 days, will introduce a provision under which ZUS, and not the entrepreneur, will pay for sick leave from the first day of the employee’s illness. Regulations will also be introduced that will provide the right to leave for small entrepreneurs or the self-employed, as well as cash tax.
“Polish women will be able to count on the care, help and loyalty of the state and the hospital waiting for them in the hospital. Every woman will have the right to free anesthesia during childbirth. Every Polish woman will have the right to free prenatal tests. And it will be the Polish woman who will decide about her motherhood,” Tusk said.
The PO leader also announced the restoration of full state funding for the in vitro fertilization procedure. Another concrete thing is the announcement of pay increases for teachers. “In the first 100 days, every Polish teacher will receive a raise to a minimum basic salary of PLN 1,500. PLN, which means 30 percent. raises for all teachers,” he noted.
Another specific item presented by Tusk concerns the reduction of VAT in the beauty industry. The head of PO also announced specific decisions that would release children from the 19th century obligation to do school homework.
In the next point, he announced that the budget will receive 20 percent by the end of the year. compensation for high prices and inflation.
“That’s why we have to win these elections, not because some of you want to be an MP or a senator. No, not because I have to go back to some government offices. We have to do it for these people. We are just the executors of their dream, their desires. They hired us. Poles hired you, me, to win for them, for +100 specific things for 100 days+,” he said.
The president of Warsaw, deputy head of PO Rafał Trzaskowski, spoke after Tusk at the Saturday convention of the Civic Coalition in Tarnów. He talked about the challenges that are most important from the point of view of young people. Among them was the issue of the climate catastrophe.
Another issue the deputy head of PO talked about was education. He pointed out that young people wanted the school to be modern. He pointed out that it should teach new skills, e.g. distinguishing what is true and what is false information, the consequences of publishing content on the Internet, taking risks, thinking independently and working in a team. He added that it could also reward not only a good result, but also an interesting way of reasoning. The third issue discussed by Trzaskowski was the transformation of the state, for which money is provided from the EU reconstruction fund.
KO MP Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz and KO senator Krzysztof Brejza announced during the Civic Coalition convention that PiS politicians would be held to account. “We will hold accountable and judge all those who violated the constitution and destroyed the rule of law. Fairly, not by politicians, but by an independent prosecutor’s office, independent courts, and if necessary, by the Constitutional Tribunal. There is no rule of law and justice if those who break the law do not face consequences. That’s why they will be held accountable,” said Gasiuk-Pihowicz.
“Jarosław Kaczyński, for trying to change the state system. Andrzej Duda for refusing to take the oath of three duly elected judges of the Constitutional Tribunal, and for pardoning the illegally convicted Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik,” the MP said. She also announced the settlement and trial of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Jacek Sasin.
In turn, Borys Budka said that his formation would combine the potential of Polish entrepreneurs, industry, science and non-governmental organizations. According to him, green energy will become a “flywheel” for the Polish economy, and the region that will particularly benefit from it will be Silesia. “And the center where this will take place will be Silesia. Because it is in Silesia that we will locate a new ministry, the Ministry of Industry,” the politician announced.
MP Izabela Leszczyna, presenting program proposals at the KO convention “100 specifics for 100 days”, announced that one of them is the introduction of anti-inflation bonds, which will be issued by the National Bank of Poland. “We will abolish the capital gains tax, the so-called Belka tax for investment savings up to PLN 100,000 PLN and over a year,” she declared.
Adam Szłapka announced: “no more endless inspections in enterprises.” “Entrepreneurs want to work because they are the locomotive of the Polish economy, not potential criminals,” said the leader of Nowoczesna. He also announced the restoration of trade on Sundays.
Bartosz Arłukowicz presented proposals in the field of health care at the convention. “Concrete number one: we will abolish the limits in the National Health Fund for hospitals. No one will ever be sent back from the hospital because the limits have run out,” he declared. As he informed, KO – if it forms a government after the elections – will present an in-vitro program for PLN 500 million available in full.

According to her, issues related to free contraception and restoring access to emergency contraception will be addressed. Nowacka also announced immediate implementation of the Anti-Violence Convention and the introduction of civil partnerships “available to every person from the LGBT community.”
Another of the specifics presented by KO for the first hundred days is to recognize the Silesian language as a regional language – said the president of Wodzisław Śląski, Mieczysław Kieca.
During Saturday’s KO convention “100 specifics for 100 days”, MPs Michał Szczerba and Dariusz Joński announced that PiS would be held to account after the elections. They also talked about carrying out an audit of the expenses of all institutions, a comprehensive audit of extra-budgetary expenses and the settlement of the construction of the power plant in Ostrołęka. Members also declared the abolition of the so-called patriotic fund.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army in the years 2013-2017, General Mieczysław Gocuł, speaking about the KO program proposals regarding defense, informed that within 100 days a new Program for the Development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland will be presented. He added that it would be a program based on multi-layered missile defense priorities.
He also pointed out that another of the proposals umes that “all injured soldiers released from military service after 2015 will have the right to return to professional military service, and wherever their rights to pensions have been violated, these pensions will be restored,” he noted. .
Finally, summing up the convention in Tarnów, Donald Tusk declared that KO politicians “want and must be concrete and precise”. “These are commitments that we will really fulfill within these 100 days, people will really have more, it will be cheaper in stores, everything will be better in all Polish homes (…). This challenge is really great,” repeated the head of PO.
Tusk, addressing the artistic community, declared that as part of the program, an artist’s statute would be established for 100 days, so that artists would have full access to social security and other security measures taking into account the specificity of their profession. He also announced the depoliticization of public television, cultural institutions, museums and theaters. (PAP)
