Some 3,000 deaths and 5,500 injured have been recorded to date.
The special operation was born the day after the tragedy. “The three of us were gathered in Monaco for Roman’s show and we were wondering how we could help at our level,” says Redouane Bougheraba. We said to ourselves Why not join forces and return all the money from our pranks to Morocco? It came together naturally. » The trio sits around a table to find a common date.

The place ? It was Gad Elmaleh, born in Casablanca, who found it: the former Palais des Sports in Paris where a musical show that he co-produced will be performed in the fall. “We have to do something concrete, because we have to rebuild villages and schools,” says the famous Moroccan comedian. It’s a disaster, they have nothing left. There is psychological, mental, emotional, patriotic support, everything you want, but money is needed for them to get back on their feet. It’s as concrete as that. »
“We will first save Morocco. For your career, we’ll see later”
“My family was not directly affected by the earthquake, because they live in Casablanca, but Moroccans are my family, Morocco, my country,” continues Gad Elmaleh. It’s very hard, I’m connected with them all the time. But the outpouring of solidarity is beautiful and reuring. »

The price of tickets for this unique show? Between 75 and 300 euros. “It’s the price of donations,” says Redouane Bougheraba. Apart from the technicians who set up the stage, no one gets paid, no one takes a commission, even at the box office level. We’re going to give everything back to Morocco, we hope to raise around half a million euros by monetizing our jokes in this way. »
Gad Elmaleh, Redouane Bougheraba and Roman Frayssinet should each play two solo pages of a quarter of an hour, accompanied by joint intersketches, for a generous show lasting more than 1h30 in the end. “A lot of comedians called us to play with us,” reveals Redouane Bougheraba. They were told: We will first save Morocco. For your career, we’ll see later. » A joke as a preview of the show on October 2.
