Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, already disappointing on Friday riding his Yamaha, will only start in 15th position on Saturday during the sprint and on Sunday during the Italian Grand Prix for the sixth round of the MotoGP season.

El Diablo“, which had set the 16th time in practice this Fridayonly took fifth place in the repechage (Q1) this Saturday and will therefore not participate in Q2, where 12 drivers will compete for pole position, for the third time in a row after the races in France and Spain.

Already relegated to 13th place at Le Mans and 16th at Jerez, the 2021 world champion, who nevertheless improved his best time the day before by more than four tenths, achieved a new poor performance and was even beaten by a thousandth by his Italian teammate Franco Morbidelli.

Quartararo will therefore only start on the fifth row on a track where he had won pole position in 2020.
