Enea Bastianini snatches victory in Aragon

The Italian surprised his compatriot Francesco Bagnaia in the last lap to win, thus making the game of a Fabio Quartararo victim of a fall in the first lap.

Italian Enea Bastianini won the Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday, the 15th round of the season played on Sunday in Spain, while the world championship leader, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, was forced to retire. The Ducati-Gresini rider won ahead of his compatriot Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), second in the MotoGP world championship. Spaniard Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) finished 3rd. Bagnaia is now only ten points behind in the championship on Quartararo, who retired after a clash with the Spaniard Marc Marquez (Honda), also forced to retire for his return to competition after a three-month absence.
