The XV de la Rose dominated New Zealand (33-12) on home soil.
England won the first edition of the WXV, a new international women’s rugby tournament, on Saturday, beating New Zealand in Auckland 33-12.
With three victories in three matches, the English finished at the top of the competition rankings, ahead of Canada who earlier beat France (29-20).
The Red Roses also take a little revenge on the Black Ferns, who beat them in the World Cup final almost a year ago.
“Beating New Zealand in your own backyard, there’s nothing better,” said captain Marlie Packer after the match.
England is the only undefeated nation in this first edition of the WXV, which brings together the six best nations in the world.
Third at the end of the World Cup last year, the XV of France suffered two defeats in three matches, and finished 5th with a single prestigious victory against New Zealand during the first meeting.
