Erdoğan: If luxury, ostentation and waste are gone...

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference after the end of the 18th G20 Leaders Summit held in New Delhi, the capital of India.

“Regardless of our faith, culture and origin, we are all members of the great human family of 8 billion people.” Erdoğan drew attention to the unfair sharing of world resources.

“WHILE 735 MILLION PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING HUNGER…”

Pointing out that the cause of our problems is not a shortage of resources, but a lack of compion, Erdoğan said:

“Children are dying because they cannot find a piece of bread and water, tens of thousands of travelers of hope are losing their lives in the deserts every year, our seas are rapidly turning into huge refugee cemeteries, millions are leaving their homes due to wars and conflicts, and despite all the rhetoric, human life is becoming increasingly worthless, simply right next to us.” In a world of heartbreaking tragedies, none of us can feel safe.

“AS Türkiye, WE OBJECT TO THESE INJUSTICES”

Erdoğan noted that at this point, billions of people from Africa to Asia are working and sweating in very bad conditions for the pleasure and welfare of a handful of elites, and said, “This is neither fair, humane nor conscientious. “The cause of our problems is not a lack of resources, it is a lack of compion.” said.

Emphasizing that, as Turkey, we object to these injustices, Erdogan said, “We believe that a more just world is possible. We are the country that provides the most aid in the world in proportion to national income. We support more than 4 million oppressed and victimized people who took refuge in our country. “By clearing the north of Syria from terrorist organizations, by building permanent residences in this region with the support of sister countries, by meeting needs in every field from education to security, we are eliminating the main reasons that force people to migrate at their source.” he said.

Erdoğan stated that so far nearly 600 thousand Syrians have returned to their homeland safely, voluntarily and in a manner worthy of human dignity, and that this number will increase even more with the implementation of the projects.
