Éric Coquerel, the Insoumis at the heart of all attention

NARRATIVE – Elected to head the Finance Committee almost a year ago, the Insoumis deputy had aroused a swell in the embly upon his arrival.

Among the Unsubmissive, Eric Coquerel is part of the slingers, this group of parliamentarians who question the internal organization of their movement. These days, however, the member for Seine-Saint-Denis is absorbed by many other subjects. He is 100% on his job as Chairman of the Finance Committee, under the pressure of a possible referral to rule on the admissibility of the proposal of the Liot groupaimed at repealing part of pension reform.

Elected to head this powerful commission on June 30, almost a year ago, he had aroused a swell at the embly on his arrival. Devolved to the opposition, this position was hoped for by the National Rally. But Éric Coquerel, common candidate for Nupes, won in a third round with 21 votes against 11 for the RN candidate Jean-Philippe Tanguy.
