“Everyone can’t wait to see him in the NBA”: Mbappé in support of Wembanyama before the lottery

Kylian Mbappé is a huge NBA fan. In January, we had seen it like this in the Brooklyn Nets locker room, congratulate Kevin Durant and his partners. It was therefore as an informed observer that he went to the Palais des Sports in Levallois on Tuesday evening to watch the match between the Metropolitans 92 and Paris. Sitting not far from actor Omar Sy, the PSG and Blues striker explained that he had come to admire Victor Wembanyama (2.21 m, 19 years old), who is playing his last regular season match.

“I came to see Wemby, I had promised himconfided Mbappé to the microphone of beIN Sport. It took me a while but I’m coming today, plus I know it’s a special day for him. I just have fun watching him play. You don’t need to be a top athlete to understand that the guy is special, you can just accompany him, support him and admire what he is going to do and what he is already doing. »

“With Popovich and the Spurs, it can be not bad”

Kylian Mbappé, asked about the franchise where he would like to see Wembanyama

The day is special for Wembanyama because this Tuesday (around 2:30 a.m. in France), the NBA lottery will determine which franchise will have the first choice of the next draft (June 22), and the young Frenchman is promised first place in this vintage. What would be the ideal destination for the prodigy? Mbappé has his own idea:

“I don’t know what he wants and he doesn’t choose, but it’s true that with (Gregg) Popovich and the Spurs, it can be not bad. Then we already have the TP (Tony Parker, four-time champion with Spurs) but it must write its own history. Everyone is impatient to see him in the NBA, me first. »
