It is expected within “24 to 48 hours”. France will send a field hospital to Libya to help the populations hard hit by floods in the east of the countrythe Élysée announced on Tuesday.
“The President of the Republic has decided to send emergency teams from Civil Security and a field hospital”, i.e. around “fifty civil and military personnel who can treat 500 people per day”, indicated the Presidency.
At least 2,000 people have been killed and thousands are missing after mive flooding hit Libya following Storm Daniel, according to local authorities, cited by Reuters. A much heavier toll than that announced Monday evening, reporting 150 deaths.
