Florida snatches a 2nd overtime victory against Carolina in the Eastern Conference final

This time again, Matthew Tkachuk delivered the Florida Panthers in overtime. But unlike Friday, when visitors needed 79 extra minutes to win, the grand finale took less than two minutes to come. The left winger scored the winning goal on a p from Sam Reinhart to give his team a second victory (2-1 aet) against the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL Eastern Conference final.

The Florida Panthers have won their last eight away games.

After the goal of Jalen Chatfield in the first minutes, the locals were however well launched. But Aleksander Barkov’s brilliant response in the second period allowed the Panthers to get back into the game, while Sergei Bobrovsky let nothing p in his cages (37 saves on 38 shots).

The Floridians thus take a good lead over their opponents (2-0) before the next two matches on their ice, at Sunrise.
