Football LK – Lech close to the quarter-finals

Lech Poznań players defeated Djurgardens IF Stockholm 2:0 (1:0) in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Conference League. The return match will be played next week in Sweden.

Croatian Antonio Milic scored goals for the Polish champions in the 39th minute and Filip Marchwiński in the 82nd minute.

West Ham United also won 2-0 away to AEK Larnaca. The goalkeeper of the London club is Łukasz Fabianski, but the Pole is currently injured. Michail Antonio scored both goals for the Hammers.

In another pair, Istanbul Basaksehir, in which Patryk Szysz plays, played Kamil Piątkowski away from KAA Gent. The match ended in a 1:1 draw. Piątkowski played the whole match, and Szysz entered the field in the 75th minute.

The return legs will be played on March 16. Due to the fact that Fenerbahce Istanbul will play at home in the Europa League on this day, another club from this city – Istanbul Basaksehir – will play the return match against KAA Gent the day before.

The draw for the 1/4 and 1/2 finals is scheduled for March 17. The final of the current Conference League season will take place on June 7 in Prague.
