Fred VanVleet (Toronto Raptors point guard, after his team’s loss to at the Los Angeles Clippers): “I’m going to get a fine, but I don’t care: (the referee) Ben Taylor sucked last night. Most nights, out of the three, there are one or two that spoil the game. It’s been like that for several matches. It’s been tough in Denver (113-118 in the night from Monday to Tuesday) and there, in the third quarter, I took a *** technique that changed the course of the match.
Most referees try hard, I like a lot of referees, they try their best, they are fair enough and communicate well. And then you have the others who just want to suck and rig matches. Nobody comes to see this bullshit: people come to see the players. […] This is not what explains our defeat, but it makes it even more difficult to digest. »
