Despite a more difficult context, the turnover of French start-ups increased by 32% in 2022, according to the latest France Digitale-EY barometer.
Despite a significantly more tense economic context over the past eighteen months, French start-ups resist well. Backed by figures, the barometer on economic and social performance from France Digitale and the consulting firm EY paints a rather reuring picture of the state of health of young French startups.
Forced to adapt quickly to the sudden changes in economic winds last year and to the drying up of financing, they nevertheless saw their turnover continue to grow, on average by 32% between 2021 and 2022, or ten points more than the previous year. Because domestic demand has not weakened, driven mainly by large French groups. “The priority for French start-ups is to accelerate their development to achieve profitability.
