Gol expands direct flights from cities in Rio Grande do Sul to São Paulo

Two cities in Rio Grande do Sul will have more direct flights to São Paulo. Gol will increase the frequencies of the connection between Santa Maria and Uruguaiana and Congonhas Airport from three to five times a week. The biggest offer starts on March 26, according to information from deputy Frederico Antunes, who coordinates the Parliamentary Front for Regional Aviation in the Legislative Assembly.
Flights began to be made in 2022, within the expansion of the regional network.
Today flights take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays. In the new phase, connections will also be made from Mondays to Fridays, both the outward and return journeys.
From São Paulo, the flight takes off at 9:15 am. From Santa Maria, with a stopover in Uruguaiana, the aircraft takes off at 12:55 pm. Arrival in Congonhas is at 6:10 pm.
The link between the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and Congonhas Airport (CGH), in São Paulo, allows easy access to the main business, event and leisure areas in the metropolis of São Paulo, bringing the southern cities closer to the financial center of the country.
The flight departs from São Paulo/Congonhas, makes a stop in Santa Maria, another in Uruguaiana and returns to the capital of São Paulo.
Passengers bound for Santa Maria take a direct flight. For Uruguaiana, make a stopover and head to the city. To São Paulo, the flight is direct.
“The increase in the number of flights to Uruguaiana and Santa Maria represents a milestone for the State and for the company. We continue to be the most connected State in the country”, comments, in a note, the deputy.
The airline operates Santa Maria and Uruguaiana in partnership with Voepass, which uses ATR-72 aircraft, with capacity for 68 passengers.
The purchase of tickets is now available on the Gol website and application.
