“We are not merely acquiring a physical structure. The chain is Volkswagen’s sales leader in RS and has been part of the Sinosserra Group since 1984. Guaibacar has three other units of the German brand in the cities of Porto Alegre, Canoas and Osório.
With the acquisition of the two new operations, it is estimated that the network’s market share will increase by 20% in Porto Alegre and the Metropolitan Region, totaling 65% of Volkswagen’s retail sales in these locations.
Throughout RS, the estimate is 10% growth, accounting for 35% of sales of German brand cars in the state.
Another unit of Panambra ended its activities this Thursday (25th) in the state, marking the end of the chain’s activities after more than 68 years in Rio Grande do Sul. The unit that worked Caxias do Sulin Serra, was bought by Carburg Volkswagen.
