DECRYPTION – New schedules, extended operating time… The League revealed the outlines of its call for tenders on Tuesday.
French football has just kicked off a crucial match. On Tuesday, the Professional Football League (LFP) put its television rights back into play, with the hope of winning the billion euros.
She launched the first stage of the rocket: a consultation on domestic rights, around two batches of matches. The first, “The best in Ligue 1”, is made up of three matches (the first two choices of each day as well as the fourth choice). The floor price of this lot was announced at 530 million euros.
The starting line
The second batch, called “The 100% Ligue 1”, brings together six matches (the third choice and choice matches 5 to 9). Its price is set this time at 270 million euros. In total, the floor price of Ligue 1 TV rights therefore amounts to 800 million euros per season, compared to 624 million currently.
