Hundreds of Germans have to leave Russia

It was reported that hundreds of German officials working in Russia, such as diplomats, teachers and employees of the Goethe Institute, had to leave the country.

According to the news of the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, which is based on the German Foreign Ministry, in connection with the reduction of the presence of Russian intelligence services in Germany, the Russian Foreign Ministry decided to limit the number of personnel working in German representations and intermediary institutions in the country in April.

In the news, the decision to be implemented by Russia as of next month affected German diplomats, especially teachers at the German school in Moscow and many Goethe Institute employees; It was noted that the number of civil servants who had to leave the country was several hundred.

In the face of this one-sided, unjustified and incomprehensible decision, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “the government is interested in maintaining a minimum level of employees in intermediary institutions in Russia and maintaining its diplomatic presence”.

Germany and Russia recently expelled many diplomats mutually. (AA)
