Ilias Kantzouris replaces Mimo Cancellieri as Limoges coach

As expected, the new Limoges CSP coach will be Ilias Kantzouris. The 49-year-old Greek technician has signed up to “minimum two years” according club press release. The former AEK Athens coach will succeed the Italian Mimo Cancellieri, whose departure was formalized just before. Arrived in 2021, Cancellieri is thanked a year before the end of his contract.

He made the choice to leave his country of origin to join Limoges CSP thanks to the history of the club but also the rise in power of the French championship. His knowledge of basketball, his adjustments to basketball and his management made him the first option for the club as a coach. Limoges finished 15th in the Betclic Élite regular season with just 14 wins in 34 games.
